Rating of the best countries and cities in Russia with a favorable climate for living

The best climate for asthmatics

Around the globe, there are 100 - 200 million people suffering from bronchial asthma. And almost everyone wonders what climate is best for permanent residence so that attacks of the disease occur as rarely as possible.

It is absolutely wrong to say that a particular locality may be suitable for asthmatics. However, when choosing a place to live, several factors must be taken into account: temperature, humidity, allergic status and the presence of beneficial substances in the air. Based on these factors, you should choose a territory where you can move for permanent residence.

Suitable climatic conditions

Sometimes it is enough for a city dweller to go on vacation in nature for a few days in order for the patient to feel much better. In this case, clean air has a positive effect on the body.

The fact is that it is impossible to unambiguously recommend any particular climate zone. It all depends on the specific case and on the reasons that triggered the onset of asthma in a person. We can only highlight general trends and factors that can have a beneficial effect on the body of a person suffering from asthma. In some cases, climate change can actually reduce the number of attacks or even reduce them to zero, but these are exceptions rather than the rule.

According to statistics, people suffering from asthma note that in damp, cold weather they begin to feel much worse, and the number of attacks may increase. The logical conclusion from this is that a climate with long, cold winters and high humidity is extremely unfavorable for asthmatics. Of course, in a milder climate zone, asthma attacks will periodically plague the patient, but their number should be significantly reduced.

Bronchial asthma is a fairly common disease. About 200 million people suffer from this disease in the world.

Almost every patient with asthmatic status is interested in what climate is suitable for asthmatics and where is the best place to relax. It is no secret that the severity of bronchial asthma and the frequency of attacks depend on the climatic characteristics of a particular region. And treatment for asthma prescribed by a doctor includes visits to some resorts.

Optimal climatic conditions for asthmatics

It cannot be said that any particular locality is suitable for people with asthma. But when choosing a place to live, asthmatics must take into account factors such as temperature, air humidity, as well as the presence of allergens and other harmful substances in it. And only by selecting optimal conditions in all respects can you move to live in this region.

The best climate for asthmatics is moderately humid with warm summers and mild winters.

The climate was suitable for asthmatics: Yalta, Alupka, Evpatoria. Anapa, Dzhemete, Bolshoy Utrish, Sunny Beach, Risan the climate was not suitable for asthmatics (specifically for me): Sevastopol, Balchik It can be difficult for asthmatics to find a place to relax. But I want to go and relax. I myself am a 2nd generation asthmatic, my children are also asthmatics, so I have to look for reviews on this topic. So I decided to write a report myself. We went on vacation in Crimea: Yalta, Alupka, Sevastopol, Evpatoria. Yalta. Yalta has a very dirty sea, for my taste, I went there as a student, I won’t go again, the only plus is the fireworks festival in August, there are many places nearby that are interesting to see in Crimea. In general, the climate is suitable, but due to the fact that the mountains go down to the sea, all the smog from the cars also goes down to the sea, it’s a little hard to breathe. Rating 2. Alupka is a cleaner place, there is the Vorontsov Palace, which is interesting to visit, not far from Yalta, the sea is cleaner, there is a large park, I was there a long time ago about 10 years ago, the service was…

Asthma occurs as a result of non-infectious inflammation of the airways. To date, no medicine has been invented that can completely cure this disease, but many can control the manifestation of symptoms. To do this, you should lead a healthy lifestyle, stop smoking and use the necessary medications.

Living in an area favorable to the patient will also reduce the frequency of attacks. To learn how to determine a suitable climate for asthmatics, read the article.

How to make a choice

The well-being of a person suffering from bronchial asthma may depend on many factors: climate, air purity, that is, the absence of allergens in it, such as pollen or dust, temperature and humidity. Since asthmatics need fresh and clean air, mountain and sea resorts, as well as areas with an abundance of coniferous forests, are well suited. The most favorable climate is moderately humid without sudden changes...

Climatotherapy. What diseases does climate cure?

How to maintain health in an unfavorable climate?

The healing properties of the climate have been known since time immemorial. The combination of air characteristics, humidity, and sunlight saturation in each geographic area directly affects our health.

Already in ancient times, doctors knew about the ability of climate to relieve many ailments. In ancient China, there are known cases when, on the advice of doctors, emperors moved the capital to another city that was more favorable for their health. In the Roman Empire, rulers lived for years in resort areas, visiting Rome only when necessary.

A century ago, before the advent of antibiotics, in Europe many diseases were treated solely by climate change, recommending, depending on the disease, staying in a certain climatic or geographic area. It is for medicinal purposes in the mountains of Switzerland and on the Cote d'Azur of Italy and France...

Hello everyone. I was searching and accidentally came across this forum, and at the same time I decided to briefly leave my opinion as well. I wrote it quickly and in one go, also on a tablet, so don’t pay attention to mistakes

A little about yourself so you can understand your priorities. 35 years old, I travel often and don’t like to sit in one place for more than a few months (maximum 4-5 months), I lead or try to lead a healthy lifestyle (I don’t smoke, I practically don’t drink, at the moment I haven’t eaten meat for 5-6 years, Well, I try to watch as little zombie stuff as possible, which in my opinion has a worse effect than alcohol, drugs, etc.), I do physical exercise whenever possible, ride a bike and like long walks, I’m interested in traditional medicine and various restorative techniques and practice something. I have friends and periodically lived or live: Sochi-Lazarevskoe, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Lugansk, Simferopol and in general the Crimea.

Hypertension determines the body's reactions to weather changes, travel and flights. High blood pressure sets conditions for the way of life, nutrition, and climate of residence. In a mild, dry climate, hypertensive crises occur less frequently than in a sharply continental zone.

Where in Russia is it better for hypertensive patients to live - in the northern regions or in the south? And is it possible for a person with high blood pressure to climb mountains or relax near the sea?

Hypertension and weather conditions

Fluctuations in weather conditions, changes in pressure and temperature cause an adaptation reaction in the human body. The basis of various reactions is the expansion or narrowing of blood vessels. Therefore, people with vascular disorders painfully endure weather fluctuations and climate change.

How does a person with high blood pressure react to changes in temperature and pressure?

Atmospheric and blood pressure

Atmospheric pressure determines the internal pressure of human liquid media. Thus, an increase in external atmospheres increases...

The Russian Federation is geographically the largest country in the world, covering an area of 17,125,187 km2 and located primarily in the northern part of Eurasia. It covers 4 climatic zones: arctic, subarctic, temperate and subtropical.

The most favorable climate for human habitation and activity is considered, as one might guess from the name, moderate, because everything is in moderation - temperature, precipitation, wind, solar exposure, atmospheric pressure, etc. It covers the predominant part of Russia where the majority of the population is concentrated.

However, not everything is so rosy, because in each territory, even in the temperate zone, the location of the seas, oceans, underlying surface, mountains, etc. has its own influence. Specialists in environmental meteorology (formerly bioclimatology) have long identified the main factors that create a positive or negative influence climate per person.

Although the influence of weather conditions on the symptoms of bronchial asthma has not been studied in depth, it is noted that many patients react to sudden changes in weather or feel worse at certain times of the year.

This is confirmed by numerous data on the frequency of ambulance calls, which were recorded during the period of time when the weather was unstable.

How weather affects bronchial asthma

Climate in bronchial asthma plays an important role in terms of disease control; many patients feel unwell during prolonged rains, when mold fungi, which are strong allergens, actively multiply.
But not only damp “English” weather is bad for patients with bronchial asthma: on dry and sunny days (from spring to autumn) the concentration of plant pollen in the air increases.

It becomes even higher before a thunderstorm and in windy weather, when particles of dust and pollen rise from the ground into the air.

Heavy rain clears...

The question of what climate you should live in if you have bronchial asthma is very difficult, almost impossible, to answer. Asthma is an individual disease and affects different people in completely different ways. Bronchial asthma is more common among the urban population in cities with a harsh (cold, damp) climate in social groups with a low standard of living.

It is possible to clearly define where patients with asthma cannot live: these are cities such as St. Petersburg (the climate of the cultural capital is strictly contraindicated for patients with asthma and pulmonary diseases), Nizhny Tagil, mining towns, in other words, patients with asthma do not need to live in cities with a harsh and humid climate and poisoned ecology.

The following climatic factors are contraindicated for asthma patients: low cloudiness, movement of air mass fronts, cyclones, clay soil, high groundwater levels on plains and valleys

The climate is definitely favorable with…

Here, as they say, taste and color... At first I also assumed that bronchial asthma and climate could be somehow interconnected and interconnected, usually through “intermediaries” in the form of bronchitis.

That it’s all about the climate and there was evidence of this in the form of an increase in the number of attacks during bad weather. Well, the climate changes, it starts to rain or snow, the temperature drops (or vice versa rises) or some other bad weather sets in and attacks of suffocation begin, it means it’s all about it. But it's not that simple.

Of course, there is no doubt that dust and charged particles can cause suffocation attacks, but to all this, I now believe we need to add atmospheric pressure. In my opinion, a damp climate can provoke an exacerbation of diseases similar in symptoms to asthma or provoke attacks of existing asthma. These are usually various types of chronic bronchitis. Bronchitis sometimes accompanies asthma in a latent or overt form. Do not forget that it is quite easy for asthmatics to catch a simple cold. For people with bronchitis, sudden climate change can have a very serious impact on their health.

Another thing is global modern climate change on earth. For patients with asthma and bronchitis, this is more important than for others. This category is the most sensitive, right? The consequences of global climate change on the planet and its speed are still difficult to predict, but the entire animal world is already reacting to it. And it doesn't react very well. Adaptation to climate change in living organisms occurs slowly; this may even require changes in generations. I won’t give any data, I think you know and understand everything yourself.

The safest and mildest climate for those suffering from asthma and chronic bronchitis is a mild climate with moderate humidity and above-zero temperatures. Since I tried it on primarily for myself, the data that I provide is most suitable for me. Of course, I asked other people. So, the result of these surveys shows that for people suffering from asthma, the optimal temperature at which an asthmatic with bronchitis feels more or less comfortable is t=+10~+30 degrees Celsius all year round.

Looking at the map of Russia, I honestly didn’t see such favorable areas of Russia for living. The regions of the Black Sea and especially Abkhazia are very close. Not a bad area in the cities of Sochi (go try and live there) and Anapa. However, in winter and there from time to time the temperature can sometimes drop to zero.

Nothing to do, I looked in more detail at the world map. I found several more or less suitable areas for living with a mild climate. Here they are: some areas of New Zealand, Australia, a certain part of Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, various islands in the ocean, there are many of them and they are all quite small, whoever needs it will find it. There may be more, but I found these.

The temperate maritime climate is favorable and very favorable. At least it won't get worse. In countries such as Iran, Iraq, Brunei, the UAE and the countries of the Asian continent, the temperature in summer can be quite high. More than 30 degrees. Although it might also work.

Sometimes I hear stories about how a person changed his region of residence and developed asthma, and it seems that this is all due to sudden climate change. But here we still need to look at how his place of residence has changed in terms of basic air pollution. This is especially important in big cities. The fact that attacks of suffocation can be due to sudden climate change and pollution, and in all this bronchitis seems to be understandable, but you still need to consider the health status of the asthmatic and changes in pressure.

There is a lot of controversy about this issue around visiting mountainous areas...

But more on this in my next articles.

Suitable climatic conditions

Sometimes it is enough for a city dweller to go on vacation in nature for a few days in order for the patient to feel much better. In this case, clean air has a positive effect on the body.

For patients with atopic forms of asthma, especially for parents with a sick child, it is recommended to live in mountainous areas, in close proximity to the sea. An atmosphere rich in pine scent is recommended for patients whose disease is accompanied by inflammation of the respiratory organs.

Mountain air

The mountain climate promotes enhanced functioning of the pulmonary system. This is due to certain features: the air in the mountains is much cooler and drier than on the plains. In addition, the mountain atmosphere is slightly thinner and its pressure is reduced, which has a good effect on patients.

Therefore, it is better for patients to choose mountainous areas to live and stop chronic oxygen starvation. You can go to mountainous areas even for a short vacation, “escaping” from the usual allergens to improve the general condition of the body.

Coniferous air

It has been experimentally revealed that for patients with bronchial symptoms, especially in sick children, inhalation of pine air has a positive effect. Inhaling the scent of pine needles can dramatically reduce the number of asthmatic exacerbations. If you cannot move permanently to such areas, then it is recommended to go out into nature for several weeks so that the healthy pine air saturates the body with oxygen.

The positive effects of pine needles can be explained by the presence of phytoncides that have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. In this regard, needles better supply the pulmonary system with oxygen, and phytoncides prevent the development of inflammatory processes.

Sea air

Sea air, warming up to a temperature of 25-30 degrees, can be considered a salvation for patients. It is useful for patients due to the high content of salt and iodine particles in the air, which settle in the respiratory tract and prevent them from clogging with mucus.

In addition, it is necessary to remember that the state of the nervous system depends on the choice of place of residence. This condition also needs to be taken into account.

Top 5 comfortable cities for living in Russia by the sea

Stone stairs in the Sochi Arboretum National Park

On the territory of Russia, 5 coastal cities are suitable for living in a favorable climate.

  1. Sochi, Krasnodar region . Now the city occupies a leading position among coastal areas. This is a humid subtropical zone characterized by warm winters and hot, warm summers. The average maximum in July, 27.4°C, is adjusted due to the proximity of water - it is easy to breathe here, the air does not burn.
  2. Anapa, Krasnodar region . The level of people dependent on weather conditions in Anapa will be slightly lower than in Sochi. An area with hot, dry summers and rainy winters. Occasionally the temperature during the cold season drops to -20°C.
  3. Gelendzhik, Krasnodar region . The territory combines the features of mountain and sea zones. The temperature here is higher, there are more sunny days, and winter only comes for a week. Only winds, rains and slight frosts can spoil the even temperature regime.
  4. Novorossiysk, Krasnodar region . The city is characterized by average above-zero temperatures throughout the year. The climate here is dry, with rare intrusions of squally winds and a sharp cooling of 10-15 degrees.
  5. Tuapse, Krasnodar region . The area is distinguished by the presence of 2 seasons: cool and warm. Average temperatures are always above zero; January temperatures remain at 5°C.

If the size of the settlement does not matter, you can choose the less popular coastal territories of the Krasnodar Territory.

Where can asthmatics move?

Since asthmatic attacks occur as a result of a combination of external and internal factors, including temperature changes, changes in humidity levels, etc. It is simply impossible to protect yourself from them. However, there are certain zones and corners of the world in which the climate is most favorable for both an adult patient and a child, for example, Bulgaria.

A good climate for people with bronchopulmonary diseases is:

  • Germany, Israel, France;
  • Montenegro and Slovenia, Croatia;
  • Spain, Cyprus;
  • Bulgaria deserves special attention. Recently, this state has become popular among asthmatics. This, first of all, indicates that Bulgaria has a mild, dry climate, which has a positive effect on the well-being of patients.

Among citizens of Russia and neighboring countries, the most famous regions are those whose climate is simply created for such patients:

  • Crimea;
  • Altai;
  • Krasnodar region;
  • North Caucasus.

Crimea

For most patients, Crimea (Sevastopol, Feodosia, Evpatoria), with its dry and warm climate, is the best choice. It is advisable to choose a region to live near coniferous forests. The clean air of Feodosia has a beneficial effect.

Due to the fact that Crimea (Feodosia, Evpatoria, etc.) is characterized mainly by a temperate climatic zone, it has long been used as a leader in sanatorium treatment of bronchial diseases. Most often, patients are sent to Crimea (Evpatoria, Sevastopol, favorable conditions in Feodosia).

This allows you to reduce the frequency of attacks of the disease and minimize the presence of allergens. Mild climate of Feodosia, Evpatoria, etc. combines the air of the sea, plains, and coniferous forests. That is why Crimea (Evpatoria, Feodosia, etc.) are recommended for permanent residence of bronchopulmonary patients.

North Caucasus

Minvody, Kislovodsk, as well as the area near Pyatigorsk are considered a classic place for people with bronchial symptoms. The mountain microclimate helps saturate the body with oxygen, facilitating breathing and reducing the development of asthma attacks.

Abkhazia

Abkhazia (Batumi, Sukhumi, etc.) are recommended for permanent residence and treatment of patients with bronchial symptoms. It has a sufficient number of favorable zones. Abkhazia (the old part), in which the resort town of Gagra is located, is located on the slopes of the mountains and at a fairly high sea level, will be an ideal place for the treatment and prevention of asthma and allergic diseases.

Abkhazia is famous for its coniferous forests, which cleanse the atmosphere of harmful substances and allergens, enriching it with beneficial phytoncides, which is very useful for bronchopulmonary diseases. Thanks to this, Abkhazia is recommended for permanent stay and treatment of bronchopulmonary patients.

Russia

The Astrakhan, Belgorod, Volgograd, and Orenburg regions are favorable. In addition, the climate of Tatarstan and Altai is useful. It should be noted that these are the most profitable options where we can recommend that patients with bronchial symptoms go. In the case where the symptoms of the disease are clearly manifested in children, it is recommended to move with the child closer to this area.

The Krasnodar region, where sea and mountain air is combined, is most often recommended for the treatment of children. That is why Anapa and Gelendzhik are especially popular among asthmatics.

It should be noted that, contrary to popular belief, the Sochi climate is not good for all patients. Frequent cases of exacerbation of asthmatic attacks have been noted in Sochi. This is due, first of all, to high air humidity, so it is preferable to choose Crimea (Sevastopol, Feodosia and Evpatoria) and other coastal climatic zones, avoiding Sochi.

Ukraine

In this climatic zone there are salt caves for which this region is famous. There are such caves in the Carpathians (Truskavets), Solotvyno (located near the Romanian border).

There are also salt deposits in Vinnitsa. Unlike the coal cave, the salt cave is white, shiny and there is salt under your feet instead of sand. For asthmatics, it is very useful to stay in salt caves and breathe in the vapors of the released salt. Similar caves exist in Soligorsk, located in Belarus.

Unsuitable climate for patients with bronchial asthma

When choosing places to travel, people suffering from this chronic disease should know which climate is absolutely not suitable for them.

Climatic factors contraindicated for asthmatics:

  • frequent fogs and low clouds;
  • sudden changes in temperature and humidity;
  • high clay content in the soil;
  • areas with high humidity.

Asthma and a humid climate are not compatible, especially when it comes to cold northern regions. The tropics are also not suitable for asthmatics; too high humidity and temperature contribute to the development of various infections and make it difficult for the patient to breathe.

Without exception, all large industrial cities with poor environmental conditions can be considered unsuitable places for people with asthma to live.
Climate plays a big role in asthma, but there are patients whose triggers may be house dust, animal dander, household chemicals or drug allergies. In this case, moving to another region will not help.

Infrastructure comparison

There are more kindergartens and schools in Anapa. There are gymnasiums that are not in Gelendzhik. This is evidenced by numerous reviews. The number of medical institutions - hospitals, clinics, surgical centers - also exceeds. But in Gelendzhik there are specialized clinics, which are not available in Anapa. For example, cardiology centers. In Gelendzhik, the household infrastructure is a little more modest, so in the off-season the city is a little more dreary.

The entertainment industry is present in both cities. And you can’t say that in some places there is more and in others there is less. Offhand, almost the same. But, of course, it cannot be compared with Sochi. Entertainment establishments are active in the summer. From September to May, many cafes, restaurants and bars are closed.

Climate for asthmatics in Russia and abroad - which one is better?

I have been living with a diagnosis of bronchial asthma for more than 10 years and I have had the opportunity to live in different parts of the world. I’ll tell you in this article which climate had a better effect on my well-being.

Bronchial asthma is an incurable complex infectious-allergic disease. The danger is that without the necessary help, any attack can end tragically.

Exacerbation of the disease often occurs due to changes in temperature and humidity.

Therefore, I, like other people suffering from asthma, often thought about climate change, traveled a lot and listened to my condition.

What climate is suitable?

In the treatment of asthma, there is such a thing as climatotherapy. Often, climatotherapy promotes remission of asthma, but much depends on the form of the disease and the causes that caused it.

If a person leaves the house to go outside and the intensity of asthma symptoms decreases, then most likely asthma was triggered by household allergens.

In the case of an infectious-allergic etiology of the disease, a noticeable improvement in the condition occurs when visiting places with moderately humid and warm air, especially in the absence of exhaust fumes, nicotine and other pollutants (for example, a trip outside the city).

Thus, the conclusion suggests itself that climate change has a positive effect on the condition of asthmatics.

Where to go?

It is impossible to fully protect yourself from changes in temperature and humidity. However, there are areas in which you can feel especially good. These include Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, North Caucasus, Altai, Egypt, Israel, Tunisia.

When choosing a treatment location, you should take into account not only the climate zone, but also seasonal changes in air humidity and sun activity, as well as the flowering period of plants. Many regions have their own characteristics that alleviate the condition of asthma patients:

  • the climate of central Russia has a beneficial effect on patients: in the taiga air there is an increased concentration of phytoncides, which help improve well-being and normalize blood pressure;
  • subtropical areas (in particular, Crimea) are characterized by an optimal degree of moisture, which is so necessary for patients;
  • the mountain climate with its low pressure makes breathing easier;
  • Ionized sea air is also useful for bronchial asthma.

In the eighties, evidence was obtained of the effectiveness of treatment and preventive measures at resorts located in the climatic zone of the patient’s residence. By giving preference to one’s native places, a person reduces the time required for the body to acclimatize. If there is no positive effect, then more remote regions are recommended for climatotherapy.

Krasnodar region

Russian citizens often choose Anapa sanatoriums. This is a justifiable choice. The mild, dry climate of the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory is an ideal option for people with respiratory diseases.

The positive effect is further enhanced by the beneficial substances released by coniferous trees. The season starts in May and ends at the end of September. For those who can't stand the heat well, I recommend September. In addition, there are fewer people at this time.

Vacations end, schoolchildren are taken to school.

From the end of August to the end of September 2020, I lived on the Black Sea coast, 20 km from Anapa. I will say this, after that I didn’t have a cold or cough (I have a cough form) for 1.5 years!

Big Utrish (Anapa)

It is not at all necessary to buy a ticket to the Sanatorium. For example, I just bought train tickets, arrived in Anapa, then took a minibus to the village of B. Utrish found himself a room in 15 minutes from private owners. I lived 50 meters from the sea, and at night I could hear the beating of the waves. Eh, beauty. Nearby is a juniper forest, a protected area. Breathe and heal, as they say. Anapa is not even close.

If you are planning to go to improve your health, then be sure to settle close to the sea so that it is within walking distance. No further than 1 km. It is important to constantly breathe sea air. In this regard, I advise you to live in villages. If we talk about Anapa, then these are: Bolshoy Utrish, Sukko, Supsekh, Varvarovka.

Big Utrish is a wilderness, no supermarkets, only small shops. No restaurants, only cafes on the beach and not very good ones. We cooked ourselves. But, as I said above, the sea is 50 meters away, the air is clean and nature is beautiful. If you need to go to the supermarket or for entertainment, then go to the minibus, which runs every 15 minutes and in 20-30 minutes you are in Anapa.

Sukko - already bigger. Here you can find more comfortable accommodation, supermarkets and restaurants.

Sukko village, Krasnodar region

Gelendzhik, Sochi, Adler

Sochi and Adler are less favorable places for asthmatics due to high humidity. The same applies to Abkhazia and Georgia. Gelendzhik is somewhere between Anapa and Sochi in terms of humidity. If the purpose of the trip is the treatment of asthma, then choose the Anapa or Crimea region.

Crimea

There are many resorts designed for asthmatics in Crimea. For them, sanatoriums located on sea coasts and low mountainous areas are recommended.

The therapeutic effect of the latter is due not only to the purity of the air and low humidity, but also to low blood pressure. This promotes deeper breathing.

The best time to stay in Crimea is May-June or September.

Crimea

Unique opportunities for the treatment of asthma exist in the sanatoriums of Yalta, Sudak, and Alushta. Decent institutions can be found in other regions of Crimea.

Abroad

If more remote countries are chosen for climatotherapy, then the duration of stay in the sanatorium should be at least a month. Particularly favorable foreign resorts include Egypt, Tunisia, and Israel.

Hurghada, Egypt

Spa treatment in Israel is at the highest level. The success of treatment and preventive measures is due to the mild, warm climate and clean sea air.

Not recommended places to stay

You don't need to be a scientist to know that living in polluted cities where factories are present has an adverse effect on all human organs. Exhaust gases also pollute the atmosphere greatly. If possible, move outside the city, even better to the village.

As for the climate, it is better for patients with bronchial asthma to avoid areas with high humidity. These include Turkey, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Georgia, etc.

Climatotherapy, in combination with therapeutic treatment, helps prevent the development of extreme forms of the disease and significantly alleviate its symptoms.

Features of sanatorium-resort recovery

Staying in sanatorium-prophylactic complexes involves carrying out healing and restorative measures and medical procedures. Typically, a sanatorium-resort holiday for children and adults suffering from diseases of the respiratory system takes place in three stages:

  • adaptation - lasts up to 3-4 days, allows the body to undergo acclimatization;
  • treatment - lasts about 2-3 weeks, involves intensive therapy;
  • prevention - several days pass, during which the general condition is assessed, and a list of further measures for recovery is compiled.

Sanatoriums for asthmatics are organized at the resort level; the list of services includes not only medical procedures, but also leisure activities of an entertaining nature:

  • beaches, swimming pools;
  • varied menu;
  • animation programs;
  • gaming types of leisure.

Average air and water temperatures by month

Gelendzhik is quite stable in its climate priorities: hot, dry, sunny in summer; in winter it is warm and humid.

December in Gelendzhik is considered a truly winter month. The temperature drops to +5-7ºС. Sometimes there are frosts here at night, when the temperature can drop to -10-13ºС.

December in Gelendzhik is the wettest and windiest month of the year.

The Bora wind can bring storms and showers mixed with temperature fluctuations. The sea cools down to +7ºС and maintains this temperature until spring.

In January , the weather in Gelendzhik is cool (for this resort). During the day, the thermometer shows +4-8ºС. Precipitation is rare at this time. An average of 35 mm of precipitation falls in the form of rain per month. Cloudless weather here lasts approximately 11 days out of 31. The wind most often comes from the east and actively disperses the oncoming clouds.

February in Gelendzhik is not much different from January. Rains at this time are even more rare; there are slightly fewer sunny days (only 7-8 per month). Snowfalls occur, but they are short-lived.

In February, so-called “February windows” - the air temperature can rise sharply to +22 degrees. So people with weak blood vessels will have a hard time here.

  1. March in Gelendzhik brings spring. The air temperature is already slowly fixed at constant levels of +9-12ºС. Precipitation, however, is still low, only 35 mm per month, but the sun peeks out from behind the clouds quite often. Two weeks out of four the resort is illuminated by the sun.
