Psoriderm ointment for psoriasis

In the treatment of dermatological diseases, topical corticosteroids are very often prescribed. Their group includes Psoriderm, a medicine endowed with pronounced anti-inflammatory properties.

The use of the drug must be coordinated with a doctor, since all hormonal drugs have certain indications and contraindications for use, and during therapy it is necessary to strictly adhere to the dosage and duration of treatment prescribed by the doctor.

Composition and mechanism of action of the drug

Eczema
The glucocorticosteroid clobetasol propionate is used as an active component in the production of the drug Psoriderm. The drug is intended only for topical application in the treatment of certain dermatological diseases.

After entering the lesion, clobetasol propionate blocks the production of biological substances that cause the development of inflammatory processes:

  • Reduces the secretion of vasoactive substances and chemoattractants;
  • Inhibits the formation of proteases and lipases;
  • Suppresses the production of the main inflammatory mediators - leukotrienes, cytokines, prostaglandins.

Thus, Psoriderm has pronounced anti-inflammatory properties:

  • Reduces the severity of edema and hyperemia;
  • Prevents lichenification - thickening of the skin in the affected area;
  • Reduces irritation, itching and discomfort.

Skin inflammation
The main symptoms of inflammation are significantly reduced almost immediately after the drug is distributed over the skin. The degree of absorption of clobetasol propionate by the skin depends not only on the individual characteristics of the body, but also on whether there is a violation of the integrity of the epidermis in the area of application - in the presence of damage, the rate of absorption of the drug increases. This also applies to those cases when, after distributing the ointment or cream, a compressive bandage is applied on top.

Psoriderm partially enters the general bloodstream through the skin, the metabolism of drug residues occurs in the liver, and the drug is excreted by the kidneys.

pharmachologic effect

Psoriderm ointment has an anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictor effect. The anti-inflammatory effect of glucocorticoid drugs is due to mechanisms that are aimed at reducing the secretion of various factors involved in inflammatory processes. At the same time, in the human body there is a decrease in vasoactive substances, proteases and linden, as well as transportation of leukocyte mass from the vessels to inflammatory foci with their further retention.

Due to the induction of lipocortins, Psoriderm ointment promotes the release of arachidonic acid, as well as the inhibition of phospholipase A2. For this reason, patients experience suppression of highly active inflammatory mediators, including leukotrienes and prostaglandins.

Psoriderm ointment suppresses the production and release of interleukins, which are signaling molecules that promote the development of connections between monocytes, macrophages, T- and B-lymphocytes during the response of immune structures. Glucocorticosteroid drugs reduce the activity of protein processes during the acute phase of inflammatory processes, including complement components C3.

When the drug is used externally, the active component of the drug acts on foci of inflammation, reducing the severity of the clinical picture of pathological processes, as well as the patient’s subjective sensations. Psoriderm ointment is a highly active glucocorticoid agent that is used for topical use.

Anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictor.

  • The most common unwanted side effects, occurring in less than 1% of patients, were burning and pain;
  • Cushing's syndrome;
  • glucosuria;
  • hyperglycemia;
  • reversible inhibition of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system and manifestations of glucocorticosteroid insufficiency after interruption of the course of treatment, therefore monitoring with ACTH stimulation, determination of serum cortisol concentration or free cortisol in urine tests is necessary.
  • dryness and irritation of the skin;
  • striae;
  • heat rash;
  • perioral dermatitis;
  • acne-like rashes;
  • hypopigmentation;
  • allergic contact inflammation of the skin (dermatitis);
  • secondary infection.

What Elena Malysheva advises psoriasis patients in her TV show

Psoriasis is a serious disease associated with serious disturbances in the functioning of the human immune system. All methods of its treatment are experimental, and in each individual case different results may be prescribed. Unfortunately, this disease manifests itself in everyone in a chronic form and it is currently impossible to completely get rid of it.

  • What they say about psoriasis in “Live Healthy!”
  • Recommended lifestyle for psoriasis

But the treatment of psoriasis is an area for which the development of new drugs does not stop. New methods are constantly being tested, and experienced doctors are creating treatment programs to reduce periods of remission.

Elena Malysheva is not only a popular TV presenter, but also a professor of medicine, as well as a doctor of medical sciences. She discussed the treatment of psoriasis more than once in her program. Videos of these programs can be found at the link. In them, she talks about ways to look for the first signs of psoriasis and gives recommendations on methods of getting rid of the disease. Elena Malysheva often reminds us that it is impossible to contract psoriasis through airborne droplets.

What they say about psoriasis in “Live Healthy!”

Psoriasis is part of the group of autoimmune diseases. There is a disruption in the functioning of the human immune system, as a result of which the body begins to create diseased cells, which in turn affect healthy ones. Thus, the body, on its own, purposefully destroys its own tissues and organs.

If there are no problems in the functioning of the immune system, the skin is renewed every second by exfoliating dead scales. This process allows the skin to remain healthy. With psoriasis, the death of skin cells occurs faster, but the process of exfoliation does not occur. Because of this, plaques form, causing severe itching. When in contact with any external irritants, the plaques may begin to cause a burning sensation or even pain. Often, the period of remission of psoriasis begins in the summer, and exacerbation occurs in the winter.

A complete treatment for psoriasis has not yet been found. The only proven fact about this disease is its genetic origin. If both parents suffer from its manifestations, the likelihood of passing the disease to the child is very high.

Anyone can recognize the disease; Elena Malysheva talks about this in her videos. The first sign is the regular appearance on the skin of reddish and slightly convex plaques with a silvery coating. Most often, psoriasis plaques appear on the elbows, knees, and lower back. The disease affects the outer parts of the ears and the scalp under the hair. Depending on the complexity of the disease, the diameters of the plaque can vary from 1 to 10 cm. The degree of development of the disease can be determined by the distribution of plaques on the skin: the more there are, the more severe the damage to the body.

If treatment for psoriasis is not started in time, this can lead to a deterioration in overall health, and in the most advanced cases, to disability.

Recommended lifestyle for psoriasis

A video with Elena Malysheva, where she talks about various diseases and methods of treating them, is broadcast on the central television channel. Since psoriasis is a huge and still not fully understood problem that affects millions, it is not surprising that the TV show “Live Healthy” repeatedly raised the question of how to cure psoriasis.

Elena Malysheva says that you can fight this disease by leading a healthy lifestyle, following a diet and regularly using medications prescribed by your doctor in order to immediately get rid of the first manifestations of an exacerbation. But for the most part, all this only helps to reduce symptoms for a while: they do not provide a permanent effect. The various ointments and creams mentioned in Dr. Malysheva’s stories are also not a panacea. They help prolong periods of remission and avoid exacerbations, which is a good result in the process of a difficult fight against a serious disease.

Traditional methods of combating psoriasis are also often mentioned. Unfortunately, their effectiveness has not been confirmed by official medicine, so they cannot be recommended for use. In addition, self-medication can be dangerous, since the use of various self-prepared medications on affected areas of the skin can significantly aggravate an already difficult situation. Watch the video to better understand the disease and get new clues about its treatment.

Contraindications

Before prescribing the drug, the doctor must accurately determine whether the patient has any contraindications to its use.

Psoriderm cannot be used in several cases:

Acne

  • If the patient has acne in the area of intended application;
  • For fungal infections of the skin;
  • During the treatment of bacterial skin infections;
  • During the acute period of chickenpox and during exacerbation of herpes infection;
  • For oral dermatitis;
  • If individual hypersensitivity to the main or auxiliary components of the drug is established.

Whenever possible, they try not to use Psoriderm
chickenpox It is not advisable to resort to the use of medication during pregnancy and lactation, since there is no accurate data on the absence of toxic effects on the fetus, child and woman’s body.

When prescribing Psoriderm to children under 12 years of age, the course of drug therapy should not exceed 4 days. In childhood, the skin is not yet fully mature, therefore, under the influence of glucocorticosteroids, atrophic processes occur in it more quickly.

be careful

People suffering from psoriasis often make one big mistake:

The patient is trying to eliminate the external signs of the disease, but eliminating the external manifestations of psoriasis does not solve the problem from the inside.

Roughly speaking, even if it is possible to remove the signs of psoriasis from the outside and put the skin in order, inside the body the disease continues to devour the autoimmune system, which provokes severe diseases, many of which are fatal. Particularly scary is the fact that psoriasis can provoke cancerous tumors.

The only remedy that is currently available for self-use by patients with psoriasis is the special product “PsoriControl”, which is available at a discounted price. Read the details in the official source.

Increasingly, in medicine we encounter drugs from other countries that can withstand high competition. Such remedies include Chinese ointment for psoriasis, which has freed a large number of patients from suffering. There are many varieties on the shelves, and the ointment can also be ordered directly through online stores.

Kinds

Below are the drugs that successfully treat psoriasis. All names come from Chinese medicine, which is famous for its discoveries. It is worth taking a closer look at the effect of some drugs and learning about their effect on the disease.

Fufan

The second name of the medicine is Pure Body, the tube contains a bright orange liquid, very liquid. To apply it to the skin, you need to use a special applicator. It comes complete with the drug.

It probably feels more like a lotion than a traditional ointment. It has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, cools the affected area and fights allergies. It also helps protect the surface of the papule from the penetration of germs and infections.

Using an applicator, the medicine is applied to damaged skin, no more than 2 times a day. During lactation, pregnancy and allergies, the use of the product is strictly prohibited.

The medicine is used exclusively as an external remedy; if allergies occur or symptoms intensify, you need to consult a dermatologist.

Psoriasis cream

White ointment with the aroma of medicinal herbs and camphor, supplied in 25 g jars. According to the manufacturer, this particular remedy not only relieves symptoms, but also has a therapeutic effect. This is a very rare drug for skin diseases that does not contain hormones.

A thin layer of cream is applied to cleansed areas of inflamed skin, and the treatment session is repeated 3 times a day. To achieve better absorption, you can gently rub in the ointment. In addition to standard contraindications, this drug is prohibited for use by patients with atopy. In general, even long-term treatment did not reveal significant side effects.

Yiganerjing

Recently, the drug has become very popular; it is used not only for psoriatic disease. It is possible to treat other skin diseases, especially since the ointment has an effect exclusively on the affected areas. No matter how strange it may sound, healthy areas do not need to be treated with it, even if a little cream gets on non-inflamed skin, allergies or other reactions will not occur.

Due to Iganerging, dry skin disappears in patients, dead skin flakes come off, redness and itching are eliminated. This effect is ensured by the fact that the drug effectively eliminates the activity of pathogenic organisms at the site of the lesion. The menthol in the composition gives a pleasant cooling effect, and is invaluable for inflammation. There are no hormones or parabens among the components of the ointment.

The product is lightly rubbed into the skin 3 times a day. The duration of the course is about 2 weeks, this is enough to eliminate the problem. It is noted that regular use allows you to get rid of psoriatic disease forever.

Nano-gel

An unusual drug that allows you to effectively regenerate tissue and improve immunity. The goal of the product is the rapid transition of the disease from the remission stage to a form of recovery. It is this remedy that can act as an independent drug for the treatment of psoriasis. Such medicines are quite difficult to find, because most of the names can only act in combination.

The gel is applied to any affected surface; the consistency allows even the scalp area to be treated efficiently. At the same time, the drug does not spread over the body and does not stain clothes. It turns out that the gel helps maintain a healthy cell life cycle. As you know, with psoriasis it is incredibly short, which causes specific manifestations on the epidermis.

Have you been trying to get rid of PSORIASIS for many years?

Head of the Institute: “You will be amazed at how easy it is to get rid of psoriasis by taking it every day...

Nano-gel destroys pathogenic microflora and restarts the mechanism of proper cell growth. The composition of the drug contains only natural ingredients, even the auxiliary additives are completely safe.

Before applying the gel to the skin, rinse the problem area with warm water. After which a thin, even layer is applied to the entire area. The effect of the medicine is achieved in 15 minutes. The consistency of the gel is so light that there is no need to remove anything after use. A pronounced therapeutic effect will be achieved if the treatment is repeated twice a day. The only limitation for its use is considered to be individual intolerance to the components.

King of leather

It is enough to apply the drug twice a day, and in some cases only an evening session is acceptable. Carefully treat the affected area and the skin around it. In order for the effect to be long-lasting, treatment is carried out until the symptoms of psoriasis disappear. In some cases, this happens very quickly; according to patients, after 5 days the disease disappears.

Like all other ointments of Chinese origin, use by pregnant, lactating and allergy sufferers is prohibited.

King of skin - reviews from doctors

An interesting fact is that most doctors agreed that such a drug has the right to be present in the complex therapy of psoriasis. And it seems like what’s special about it? Pretentious name, strange packaging, produced not in the States, but in China, and also sold at an affordable price. Meanwhile, he has high ratings among patients and representatives of the medical community.

Of course, this state of affairs is due to the impressive therapeutic effect. After all, patients note that the King of Skin fights even old processes. Now the remission stage lasts much longer, and obedient patients who follow the rules have completely forgotten about the disease.

Do not miss the fact that high effectiveness of therapy is good. However, the effect is achieved only with complex treatment. Chinese ointment alone cannot overcome psoriatic disease.

Dermatologists emphasize that before prescribing a drug, you need to obtain complete information about the patient’s health. Prescriptions are made by a specialist, and not by a salesman in a “Chinese shop”; you cannot trust the health of a person who may not even have a higher medical education.

Some say that the ointment contains no antiseptics or hormonal components. In fact, they are present, albeit in minimal quantities. After all, without them, skin diseases are almost impossible to treat.

Compound

The drug has a rich medicinal composition that allows you to fight psoriatic disease very quickly. The following components can be found in the ointment:

  • Neem – allows you to neutralize toxic substances, relieves severe itching and has a tonic effect.
  • Sandalwood - it is thanks to it that the patient notices a pleasant coolness on the skin, which eliminates irritation and relieves burning. Inflamed areas are neutralized, and the appearance of an unpleasant odor is prevented.
  • Clobetasol propionate – fights all signs of an allergic reaction, relieves inflammation in the pathological area.
  • Kapur Kachari is a natural antibiotic.
  • Tulsi is an antiseptic, fights bacteria on the skin, and qualitatively moisturizes the skin.
  • Estimadhu - everything is simpler here, the component is called licorice. It is this that relieves inflammation, allows tissues to regenerate faster and promotes wound healing.
  • Turmeric – in the process of inflammation, toxins are formed, which this component disinfects. Is an antiseptic.

An interesting fact is that some components of the ointment are unknown in our country. Maybe they are a secret component of the drug.

Instructions for use

The drug to combat psoriatic disease is produced in the form of a cream. A 7 ml jar contains a white composition that successfully treats skin problems. Due to the influence of the drug, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects are achieved. The skin after treatment is soft, damaged areas heal quite quickly.

The ointment must not be used more than 2 times a day; the course should not last more than 60 days. Therapy usually lasts until the symptoms of the disease disappear. Most patients have no significant symptoms of psoriasis within a week.

The drug has contraindications, so it must be used carefully. Failure to comply with precautions risks worsening the disease and possible irreversible consequences.

You cannot prescribe Skin King ointment:

  1. women during lactation and when bearing a child;
  2. persons of various groups who have individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

The cost is not that high; for one box you will have to pay about 300 rubles. For such an effect, this is just a symbolic price.

Reviews

You can leave your feedback on the use of Chinese ointment for psoriasis in the comments to the article, they will be useful to our other readers!

Andrey:

On the advice of my colleagues, I smeared my leg with King of Skin ointment. They may say that I did not experience such a qualitative effect from the treatment before. Moreover, I constantly followed the usage schedule incorrectly. The reason is simple, I forgot to take the drug to work. After the symptoms began to subside, I used the Skin King for a few more days. And for good reason, because now I have a long-term remission.

Tatiana:

It’s funny, but I never thought that I would have to order a drug for psoriasis myself through a stock site. Iganerzhing arrived in a month, I didn’t know where to get it in Russia, we have a very small settlement. My expectations and hopes were rewarded, I was able to stop the symptoms of the disease and forget about psoriasis.

Galina:

My mother now always keeps a jar of Psoriasis Cream in stock. Unfortunately, I don’t know the transliteration, and on the tube there is only an English inscription. But it doesn’t matter, because the pleasant composition with the aroma of camphor helped her forget about the long-standing problem. It would seem that the composition is made up of medicinal herbs and familiar components, but the result is more significant.

    A side effect of Psoriderma is a burning sensation.
    The most common side effects are a burning sensation, increased pain and redness of the skin, which appear immediately after distribution of the product. In most cases, such discomfort disappears completely within a few minutes.

    Long-term use can provoke the appearance of folliculitis, erythema, telangiectasia, and impaired skin sensitivity at the sites of application.

    Systemic adverse reactions when using Psoriderm do not exclude the development of:

    • Cushing's syndrome;
    • Hyperglycemia;
    • Glucosuria.

    Cushing's syndrome
    After interruption or completion of the course of therapy, symptoms of glucocorticosteroid deficiency may appear, so treatment should be carried out under the supervision of a physician.

    Dermatologists do not recommend using Psoriderm with compressive bandages.

    If this rule is ignored, then the appearance on the skin is great:

    Prickly heat

    • Irritation and areas of increased dryness;
    • Acne-like rash;
    • Stry;
    • Heat rashes;
    • Hypopigmentation;
    • Perioral dermatitis.

    Compressive bandages increase the likelihood of secondary infection and allergic inflammation of the skin.

    Pharmacokinetics

    The rate of penetration of the main active component of Psoriderm ointment through the skin differs in different patients. It may increase due to the application of special dressings or with lesions of the upper layers of the epidermis. The average level of plasma concentration of the drug is achieved 13 hours after the first application and 8 hours after repeated applications.

    In patients with psoriasis or eczema, this figure averaged 2.2 ng/ml and 4.4 ng/ml. Measurements were taken 3 hours after applying 25 g of 0.05% Psoriderm. After partial absorption of the ointment through the skin, the active component is metabolized in the liver and excreted by the kidneys.

    Psoriderm belongs to the group of highly active corticosteroids - drugs intended for the local treatment of various skin diseases.

    Mechanism of action

    The anti-inflammatory effect of glucocorticoids consists of suppressing the production of various factors involved in the inflammatory process: the release of vasoactive substances, as well as chemoattractants, is reduced, while the formation of lipase proteases, fibrosis, and leukocytes is inhibited - they are retained in the site of inflammation and do not move.

    Thanks to the induction of lipocortin, the release of arachidonic acid molecules is inhibited, which suppresses the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins, leukotrienes, cytokines (IL-1, 6), tumor necrosis factors, which ensure the interaction of macrophages, monocytes, T- and B-lymphocytes during the immune response.

    When used externally, clobetasol propionate has a rapid and strong effect on the site of inflammation on the surface of the skin:

    • the severity of erythema, edema, lichenification decreases;
    • itching, irritation and pain are eliminated.

    The degree of penetration through the skin may vary from person to person, for example, it may increase when using compressive bandages, as well as in the presence of damage to the surface of the epithelium or during an inflammatory process.

    To achieve the average plasma concentration of 0.63 ng/ml, it takes 8 hours; after repeated application 10-13 hours later of 0.05% ointment on the intact skin of healthy volunteers, it is slightly higher. Treatment of areas affected by eczema and psoriasis with ointment usually causes large average plasma levels - 4.6 ng/ml and 2.3 ng/ml, respectively. Clobetasol propionate is less protein bound than hydrocortisone, but has a longer half-life.

    After partial absorption through the skin, metabolism occurs primarily in the liver and is subsequently excreted by the kidneys.

    Application Features

    Before starting a course of therapy, you must carefully study the instructions for use of Psoriderm.

    Features of application of the product depend on the dosage form used:

    Psoriderm ointment

    • The solution is prescribed for psoriasis if the lesions are localized in the scalp area. The solution is sprayed and rubbed into the affected area, the frequency of use is twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
    • The ointment and cream are distributed in the area of inflammation, trying not to affect healthy areas. The frequency of application, as when using the solution, is twice a day.

    When treating Psoriaderm, the following rules must be observed:

    • The total duration of use of the drug is no more than 2 weeks;
    • Within a week, you should consume within 50 grams (milliliters) of the medicine, this applies to both the solution and the ointment with cream;
    • Before the first use, it is advisable to conduct a sensitivity test - apply a thin layer of the drug to a small area of healthy skin in the forearm area. The medicine is suitable for use if after 30 minutes there is no rash, swelling or hyperemia;
    • If there are no visible improvements after two weeks of therapy, then the treatment should be reconsidered and more effective analogues should be selected;
    • In those areas of the body where there are areas of increased natural occlusion and the risk of stretch marks (in large inguinal cavities, under the armpits), the product should be applied in the thinnest layer, and the course of therapy should be shortened;

    Under the arms, Psoriderm should be applied carefully
    The drug should be applied in a thin layer under the arms

    • After applying the solution to your head, you should not use a hairdryer, as this leads to overdrying and accordingly increases the risk of developing adverse reactions;
    • If Psoriderm is prescribed for the treatment of the eyelids, extreme care should be taken to avoid getting the medicine into the eyes, as this increases the risk of developing glaucoma. If the ointment gets on the mucous membranes of the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water.

    Therapy is stopped early if the treatment produces the desired effect and leads to stable remission.

    Treatment of psoriasis with corticosteroids, including Psoriderm, should be extremely careful. Failure to comply with the dosage, frequency of application of the product and other nuances of use leads to the appearance of adverse reactions, one of which may be an increase in psoriatic manifestations.

    Psoriderm ointment: instructions, children, price, reviews – Website about hernias and their treatment

    In the treatment of dermatological diseases, topical corticosteroids are very often prescribed. Their group includes Psoriderm, a medicine endowed with pronounced anti-inflammatory properties.

    Psoriderm

    • Reduces the secretion of vasoactive substances and chemoattractants;
    • Inhibits the formation of proteases and lipases;
    • Suppresses the production of the main inflammatory mediators - leukotrienes, cytokines, prostaglandins.

    Thus, Psoriderm has pronounced anti-inflammatory properties:

    • Reduces the severity of edema and hyperemia;
    • Prevents lichenification - thickening of the skin in the affected area;

    • For oral dermatitis;
    • If individual hypersensitivity to the main or auxiliary components of the drug is established.

    Chickenpox

    If possible, they try not to use Psoriderm in pediatric practice, and the manufacturer prohibits the treatment of babies under one year old with this medicine. It is not advisable to resort to the use of medication during pregnancy and lactation, since there is no accurate data on the absence of toxic effects on the fetus, child and woman’s body.

    Application Features

    1. Before starting a course of therapy, you must carefully study the instructions for use of Psoriderm.

    • The total duration of use of the drug is no more than 2 weeks;
    • Within a week, you should consume within 50 grams (milliliters) of the medicine, this applies to both the solution and the ointment with cream;
    • Before the first use, it is advisable to conduct a sensitivity test - apply a thin layer of the drug to a small area of healthy skin in the forearm area. The medicine is suitable for use if after 30 minutes there is no rash, swelling or hyperemia;
    • If there are no visible improvements after two weeks of therapy, then the treatment should be reconsidered and more effective analogues should be selected;
    • In those areas of the body where there are areas of increased natural occlusion and the risk of stretch marks (in large inguinal cavities, under the armpits), the product should be applied in the thinnest layer, and the course of therapy should be shortened;

    The drug should be applied in a thin layer under the arms

    • After applying the solution to your head, you should not use a hairdryer, as this leads to overdrying and accordingly increases the risk of developing adverse reactions;

    Overdose

    Psoriderm, when applied to the skin, is only partially absorbed, so there is no acute overdose of the drug.

    However, the occurrence of general reactions to corticosteroids cannot be ruled out, which requires discontinuation of the medication; in such cases, it is carried out gradually.

    Interaction with other medications

    No negative effects have been identified when using Psoriderm together with medications from other groups.

    But the drug should not be used simultaneously with other corticosteroids, as this increases the concentration of glucocorticosteroids and in most cases leads to side effects.

    Cost and analogues

    You can buy Psoriderm ointment in Minsk at a price from 6 to 9.5 Belarusian rubles. The price of a drug in Russia of a similar dosage form is 180-260 rubles per 25 gram tube.

    The medicine should be stored in places where the air temperature does not exceed 25 degrees. After each use, the bottle and tubes are immediately carefully closed. After opening the purchased medicine, the ointment and solution are suitable for use for six months, the cream for 1 month.
