Liver and psoriasis – liver cleansing, release of vitamin D

The relationship between the liver and psoriasis

The liver in the body of every person is seen as a natural filter that cleanses the blood of waste and toxins, preventing intoxication processes. Its main tasks:

  1. Acceleration of metabolic processes in the body;
  2. Removing toxins;
  3. Breakdown for further digestion of food;
  4. Regulation of blood clotting.

Thus, due to the relationship of the liver with all systems of the body, the development of pathological processes is more likely if the liver malfunctions. The liver and psoriasis are interconnected, in turn, in such a way that the accumulation of harmful substances in the blood significantly affects the condition of the skin. In some cases, acne and peeling may occur, but the risk of developing dermatous plaques also increases.

In the human body, all systems and organs are in close interaction with each other.

One of the main reasons for the development of the disease is considered to be the accumulation of toxic substances in the body due to insufficient liver functionality.

The provoking factor for this condition can be various reasons, starting with disturbances in diet, regimen, the presence of bad habits in the patient and ending with an unfavorable environmental situation in the person’s place of residence.

The liver, in addition to participating in metabolic processes, accommodation and removal of toxins, as well as producing enzymes for breaking down food, produces vitamin K, the absence of which affects blood clotting. Vitamin K, as well as B 6, normalizes the conductivity and functioning of the nervous system. In addition, vitamin K is part of many steroid drugs used to treat psoriasis.

The existing relationship leads to various skin diseases, including psoriasis, the first symptoms of which are skin hyperemia and peeling. The development of such symptoms indicates the accumulation of toxic substances in the body that the liver cannot cope with.

Optimal cleaning methods

High-quality detox of the “main filter in the human body” occurs through the competent combination of choleretic agents, as well as hepatoprotectors. “Liver protectors” were discussed above.

  • antioxidant effect on tissue;
  • improvement of metabolic processes at the cellular level;
  • improved regeneration;
  • dilution of bile;
  • forced excretion of obsolete bile through the bile ducts;
  • renewal of the body by getting rid of “obsolete” substances.

For detox, not only natural ingredients are used, but also simpler pharmaceutical substances. Treatment is carried out with sorbitol, sodium thiosulfate, magnesia and a number of other pharmacological products. These substances expand the bile ducts themselves, liquefy bile masses, and promote a gentler removal of stones from the gallbladder.

Clinical picture

Psoriasis seriously affects internal organs. The skin is also one of the organs for effective cleansing of the body, therefore, with liver diseases, psoriasis progresses. The full picture of liver damage begins directly with the patient’s complaints about:

  • feeling of heaviness in the right hypochondrium;
  • general fatigue;
  • weak appetite;
  • nausea and heartburn after eating.

Psoriasis occurs in waves; during remissions, the condition of the liver improves, and during relapses, it worsens. At the same time, the gallbladder also receives damage. Malfunctions of digestion lead to the spread of psoriatic plaques, including erythroderma. Signs of gallbladder damage are:

  • change in skin color to yellowish;
  • dryness and flaking of the skin;
  • dyspeptic disorder;
  • yellowing of the sclera of the eyes;
  • rapid increase in the area of psoriatic lesions.

By mistake, patients interpret these symptoms as a normal exacerbation of psoriasis, but in fact this is an alarming sign of complications in the gallbladder and liver. If you notice the first symptoms of the disease, you should contact a gastroenterologist. Psoriasis aggravated by damage to these organs is much more difficult to treat. Most often, the patient is indicated for hospitalization in a hospital.

Top tips for liver health

So, in order for the liver to never fail, and the body to radiate health, freshness, and vigor, it is necessary to follow these rules:

  • Every day you need to drink a lot of water, as well as various healthy liquids. Moisture is the main catalyst for all processes occurring in cellular structures.
  • Exclude from the diet fatty, fried delicacies, pickled, spicy foods, which put additional stress on the liver and also worsen metabolism.
  • The diet should be rich in fruits and vegetables. The only exception is citrus fruits. They are consumed to a minimum or avoid exotic products altogether.
  • It is better to eradicate all products based on wheat flour and yeast from the diet. It is recommended to give preference to products made from wholemeal flour.
  • The main delicacy is high-quality seafood that is as fresh as possible.

Cleansing the body with psoriasis is one of the most important stages in the patient’s recovery and strengthening his health. According to one of the theories regarding the pathogenesis of psoriatic plaques, it is metabolic disorders and poor liver function that cause this disease.

In any case, hepatocytes work in enhanced mode during the period of exacerbation of the disease. The thing is that the liver in any case suffers from a massive release of toxic substances that invariably accompany pathology. To eliminate rashes and put the patient into a state of favorable remission, high-quality liver cleansing for psoriasis is necessary.

Symptomatic signs of psoriasis and liver disease

If psoriasis develops against the background of liver damage, characteristic symptoms occur that progress in parallel. These include:

  • Yellowing of the skin, mucous membranes and whites of the eyes;
  • Skin itching (characteristic of both liver damage and psoriasis);
  • Emotional instability, irritability;
  • Weakness and malaise, drowsiness;
  • Formation of characteristic pinkish convex plaques covered with gray or yellowish scales;
  • Formation of persistent edema.

The simultaneous occurrence of all these symptoms most often indicates the parallel development of liver disease and psoriasis. However, only a professional doctor can make a diagnosis, so it is strictly not recommended to carry out cleansing procedures and treat the liver and skin on your own.

Psoriasis has a wavy course, alternating with remissions, manifested in the following symptoms:

The picture of liver damage begins with complaints of general fatigue, a feeling of heaviness in the right hypochondrium, suppression of appetite, and an increase in all symptoms after eating. External manifestations of the disease include:

  • Yellowness of the skin and sclera of the eyes. As a result of inflammatory processes, the outflow of bile through the choleretic tract may be disrupted, causing the eyes and skin to acquire a yellow tint.
  • Pigment spots may appear due to an increase in bilirubin in the blood.
  • Spider veins are found throughout the body, indicating malfunctions in the blood coagulation system, in which the liver also takes part.
  • Predominance of red skin on the palms and soles, appearing in a symmetrical order, but when pressed they turn white.

Liver pain

In addition to all of the above symptoms, pain signs appear located in the liver area. Disorders with the digestive tract, varicose veins, excessive hair loss, and increased body temperature may occur.

The initial symptoms, in both cases of psoriasis and liver disease, are often associated with an allergic reaction that occurs to foods or as a result of chemical exposure. To clarify the actual cause of the disease, the patient must undergo a full course of examination and not self-medicate in any way, otherwise irreparable harm can be caused to an already weakened body.

Psoriasis appears when, due to a violation of the outflow of bile, a large amount of toxins enter the bloodstream, which causes redness and itching on the back of the hand, spreading to the skin of the entire body. When pink spots with silvery scales begin to appear at the site of redness, you can almost immediately suspect psoriasis, but you still need to undergo diagnostic measures.

Sodium thiosulfate

Sodium thiosulfate for psoriasis intramuscularly

This drug sodium thiosulfate will help remove copper and lead, thallium and arsenic, mercury, hydrocyanic acid and phenols from the body. It can be purchased in ampoules, dissolving one in 200 ml. water. The taste of this medicine leaves much to be desired.

Drink the diluted solution before bed. A full course of body cleansing – 10 days. During this period of time, eat only vegetables and fruits. You cannot eat any fish, meat or dairy products.

Plasmapheresis is not a panacea, and this procedure cannot always be used in the treatment of psoriasis in children and adults. Clinical studies have shown that a positive result is observed in only 30%. Doctors advise purifying the blood in combination with other treatment methods.

Blood purification has contraindications. Such manipulation cannot be carried out if there is a history of cardiovascular pathology, anemia, a tendency to changes in blood pressure, or cardiac arrhythmia. Plasmapheresis is prohibited for serious gastrointestinal diseases, low blood clotting, acute infectious diseases, and complex myopia.

Blood purification is never carried out during menstrual periods in women, since there is a high probability of bleeding. Another contraindication, but a relative one, is the advanced age of the patient suffering from psoriasis. An elderly patient can undergo plasmapheresis, but only after a thorough diagnosis and under the supervision of a doctor.

Blood purification rarely leads to side effects, but there is a risk. Possible negative effects:

  1. General malaise.
  2. Nausea, vomiting (rare).
  3. Dizziness.
  4. Headache.
  5. Increased heart rate.
  6. Redness of the skin.

The technique in question was developed by the American scientist John Pegano. It is based on the idea that cleansing the body should begin with removing “impurities” from the intestines - it is from here that the notorious toxins and wastes penetrate the blood, lymph and are carried throughout the body.

First of all, blood cleansing for psoriasis according to Pegano begins with increasing the amount of daily fluid intake - for example, the daily norm of purified water, according to the scientist, is 6-8 glasses.

How to cure psoriasis? Blood purification according to Pegano is based on three main pillars:

  1. Removal of waste, toxins, waste products of helminths, harmful cholesterol from the intestines and other organs of the gastrointestinal tract;
  2. Compliance with a therapeutic diet;
  3. Introduction to the daily diet of herbal teas, which are based on decoctions of medicinal plants.

Thus, the scientist recommends filling the menu with vegetables and fruits (except citrus fruits), grain crops, and low-fat varieties of fish and meat. You should exclude dairy products, sweets, baked goods, carbonated drinks, alcohol and any confectionery products from your diet.

According to Pegano, both blood cleansing for psoriasis and the therapeutic diet itself are purely individual in nature and are selected by a specialist depending on the form and stage of the disease, as well as the presence (absence) of other chronic diseases.

Psoriasis is a systemic disease with a chronic relapsing course, which is characterized by sequential alternation of periods of long relapses (exacerbations) and short remissions (relief).

According to the results of scientific and medical research, symptoms of psoriasis (primarily skin manifestations of the disease - so-called psoriatic plaques) are found in 4% of the world's population. In this regard, psoriasis, along with obesity and diabetes, are among the most common pathologies of our time.

It is very easy to recognize this unpleasant disease already at the initial stages of its development - the skin of patients with the corresponding diagnosis is covered first with single, and then with multiple, merging into monolithic, large-area lesions, rashes. They look like convex reddish-pink spots with heterogeneous relief.

These formations are inflamed, the skin around them is swollen and hyperemic. The surface of psoriatic plaques is abundantly “decorated” with small, flaky, easily peeled elements – silver-gray scales.

The course of psoriasis of any form and stage is always associated with unpleasant local and general symptoms. Thus, patients experience itching and peeling, excessive dry skin, and during periods of exacerbation they are “haunted” by hyperthermia and pain. In addition, changes in the body caused by psoriasis are fraught with decreased ability to work, apathy, frequent headaches, weakness throughout the body, and severe neuropsychic disorders.

Neither the prevalence of psoriasis nor its rather vivid clinical picture have helped modern scientists to accurately establish why this disease arises and develops. Among the versions explaining its nature, the autoimmune, metabolic, hormonal, neurogenic, medicinal, and genetic theories of psoriasis deserve special attention. Unfortunately, today all of them exist only at the level of assumptions and are not recognized by official science as the only true ones.

In dermatology, psoriasis is considered to be a systemic, non-infectious, chronic polyetiological (that is, one in which several factors are simultaneously to blame) incurable disease.

The only universal scheme for combating the disease has not been found, and all therapeutic measures that specialists select for each patient purely individually are symptomatic. Treatment of psoriasis is aimed at minimizing skin discomfort and preventing exacerbations of the disease.

It is known that the condition of any person’s skin is an indicator demonstrating the presence of a number of internal problems. Thus, various rashes, age spots, bruises, small blood vessels - all this indicates viral and infectious diseases, and indicates malfunctions of organs and systems.

Cleansing the body for psoriasis is an important condition for successful treatment. This problem has several main aspects:

  • Often the cause of skin rashes is disruption of the liver, stomach, intestines and other organs of the digestive tract. That is why the first stage of a comprehensive fight against the disease is not only cleansing the body for psoriasis, but also a therapeutic diet. The basis of the daily diet of patients should be a variety of cereals, fruits, vegetables; among drinks, preference should be given to herbal teas, fresh juices and fruit drinks, dried fruit compotes, purified (mineral) water without gas.
  • Drug treatment of a disease (especially systemic drugs) is an additional burden on the entire body. First of all, the main filters of the human body - the liver and kidneys - suffer from drug therapy. In this regard, patients are often prescribed drugs - hepatoprotectors (“helpers” of the liver), as well as drugs that improve the functioning of the organs of the excretory system.
  • Unfortunately, psoriasis can affect more than just the digestive tract. Blood cleansing for psoriasis is also a prerequisite for successfully combating the disease. The thing is that the course of the disease itself and the use of medications are associated with general intoxication of the body, which affects the composition of all biological fluids - including blood and lymph.

Cleansing the body with psoriasis must be comprehensive and involves the removal of “pollutants” (toxins, waste, bad cholesterol, waste products of helminths, residual components of medications) from the blood, lymph, gastrointestinal tract and excretory system of the human body.

To cure psoriasis, blood cleansing should be carried out sequentially, taking into account the following stages:

  1. Correction of the usual diet and diet;
  2. Colon cleansing;
  3. Toning the body through short periods of fasting;
  4. Avoiding stress and other psycho-emotional disorders.

Standard body cleansing regimen for patients with psoriasis:

  1. For 5 weeks - cleansing enemas with mild to moderate laxative effects (natural or synthetic);
  2. Three-day fasting once a week;
  3. Reception of silicon sorbents;
  4. Use of hepatoprotectors.

To finally defeat psoriasis, blood cleansing should be supplemented by removing “impurities” from the body’s lymphatic system. The need for this event is determined by a number of factors:

  • Lymphatic channels are the “corridors” through which metabolism occurs, valuable components are supplied to internal organs, and waste biomass is removed;
  • One of the causes of psoriasis may be the so-called lymphotoxicosis - an abnormal condition of the body in which 84% of substances that poison the body accumulate in the lymph;
  • This biological fluid is a guarantor of the healthy functioning of the immune system, which means it provides the body with a timely resistance to infections, viruses, and bacteria that complicate the course of psoriasis.

Symptoms

Liver pain

There are several types of psoriasis, but its common manifestations include skin rashes - psoriatic plaques that become crusty, itchy and itchy, as well as deformed nails. Other symptoms may vary depending on the triggering factors.

Psoriasis and liver diseases, the relationship of which is obvious, make themselves felt by the following characteristic signs:

  1. Yellowness of the skin;
  2. Spider veins;
  3. Hyperpigmentation;
  4. Red feet and palms with pain when pressing.

Liver pain

Judging by the fact that you are reading these lines now, victory in the fight against psoriasis is not yet on your side...

Have you already thought about radical treatment methods? This is understandable, because psoriasis can progress, resulting in the rash covering 70-80% of the body surface. Which leads to a chronic form.

Red blistering blisters on the skin, itching, cracked heels, peeling skin... All these symptoms are familiar to you firsthand. But perhaps it would be more correct to treat not the effect, but the cause? We found an interesting interview with a dermatologist at the Russian Dermatology Center. Read the interview {amp}gt;{amp}gt;

Psoriasis is a non-infectious pathology, therefore it is not transmitted from an affected person to a healthy person. The exact causes of dermatosis have not yet been established; only the prerequisites for this and development factors are identified. In turn, psoriasis due to the liver is formed for the following reasons:

  1. Endocrine pathologies;
  2. Violation of dietary rules;
  3. Bad habits and abuse of alcoholic beverages;
  4. Uncontrolled use of medicines;
  5. Violation of metabolic processes;
  6. Severe intoxication;
  7. Stress;
  8. Autoimmune processes.

Endocrine pathologies Bad habits Stress Autoimmune processes

In such situations, the liver and gallbladder are the first to be affected (not always). If the pathology is not stopped and eliminated in the early stages of its development, complications arise, including psoriasis. Also, the risks of damage increase if at least one case of dermatosis has been recorded in the family.

Diagnosis of pathological changes

Diagnosis and further treatment of the liver for psoriasis is based on careful collection of the necessary information and identifying the extent of damage. The most highly effective diagnostic methods are:

  • Ultrasound of the abdominal organs;
  • Magnetic resonance imaging;
  • CT scan;
  • blood analysis;
  • stool analysis.

Based on the results of these tests, the doctor can already select the appropriate hepatoprotectors. Medicines that protect the liver are necessarily included in complex drug treatment. Removal of intoxication occurs as the condition of the organ improves. In extremely rare cases, a blood purification procedure is required.

Attention! Patients suffering from both psoriasis and alcoholism are at greatest risk of dying from liver failure.

The key points in the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of the liver for psoriasis are collecting all the information and establishing the extent of the damage. To do this:

  • Ultrasound of the abdominal cavity;
  • MRI;
  • CT;
  • Blood and stool tests.

These are the most effective diagnostic methods today. Having received the test results, the doctor will immediately be able to prescribe suitable hepatoprotectors - drugs to protect the liver, which are always included in the drug course of treatment.

Hepatoprotectors

With the help of correctly selected hepatoprotectors, not only treatment is carried out, but also preventive measures are carried out. These pharmacological products promote the rapid restoration of hepatocytes, protect delicate cells from “aggressive” attacks, remove toxic substances, waste, metabolites, without loading the liver.

Usually the preparations are plant-based. Thus, the effect on the liver is quite gentle, nourishing the structures with natural ingredients.

The list of modern drugs that cleanse and protect hepatocytes would be long. The most popular: Karsil, Darsil, Galstena, Gepabene, Levasil, Hepacept.

Treatment occurs due to the optimal combination of valuable phytocomponents that restore damaged structures.

  • milk thistle;
  • soy;
  • turmeric;
  • artichoke;
  • smoker;
  • corn silk;
  • rose hip;
  • celandine;
  • chamomile.

On the eve of the procedure, a cleansing enema is given. The cleaning itself is carried out in the afternoon. Possible evening.

The liver is one of the most important human organs, the functioning of which largely determines the condition of the entire organism. Liver cells ensure the disinfection of all toxic compounds formed in the body or entering it from the outside.

Liver cells - hepatocytes - have the ability to recover, but without additional help this process is slow, which does not allow the organ to work with full efficiency and prevent intoxication of the organs and their systems.

Hepatoprotectors for cleaning and restoring the liver

If psoriasis is detected, it is recommended to cleanse the liver using hepatoprotectors.

Hepatoprotectors for psoriasis are the most effective group of agents that provide not only effective cleansing of liver tissue from toxins, but also restoration of hepatocytes - specialized cells of liver tissue

These drugs represent a special group of drugs that can have a beneficial effect on organ cells, preparing them for recovery. Under the influence of these medications, bile is liquefied, and liquefaction accelerates the process of its removal through the ducts.

The most common means used to normalize the functioning of hepatocytes are the following:

  • Osalmid.
  • Rezalut Pro.
  • Galstena.
  • Gepabene.
  • Hofitol.
  • Ovesol.
  • Karsil.
  • Laennec.
  • FanDetox.

The use of Karsil for psoriasis allows you to restore the normal functioning of liver cells. Quite often, doctors recommend using the drug Laennec for psoriasis as a cleansing and restorative agent for the liver. This remedy has a complex effect.

It is characterized by the presence of immunomodulatory and hepatoprotective properties. It is recommended to use the drug if tissue damage is detected as a result of metabolic, alcoholic or mixed intoxication. When it is used, the functional capabilities of the liver are normalized while the functioning of the immune system is improved, which has a beneficial effect on the body as a whole.

When using hepatoprotectors, you should strictly follow the instructions for use of the drugs and the dosages recommended by your doctor.

When performing a liver cleanse, a person with psoriasis must complete the fully recommended drug course of cleansing. Any of these medications can be taken only after consultation with your doctor.

Carrying out self-improvement, without first visiting a doctor, can provoke complications in the body’s functioning, which can subsequently affect the patient’s health.

Treatment of psoriasis caused by liver dysfunction

Cleansing and treatment of the liver is permitted only with an accurate diagnosis and only if the causes of the disorder are identified. To do this, several effective methods are used that can be used together or separately.

Psoriasis and liver

The very first and most important action on the path to recovery should be the appointment and adherence to an appropriate diet. She should completely exclude fatty, fried and spicy foods, including the consumption of alcoholic beverages and quickly digestible carbohydrates.

In order to relieve external manifestations in the form of rashes and spots, the patient is prescribed special ointments and creams for psoriasis:

  • Psori-naft is a combined ointment that helps relieve inflammation, relieves pain, and stops itching and flaking.
  • Dermovate – relieves swelling, redness and itching.
  • Beloderm - constricts blood vessels, relieves allergic reactions, itching and inflammation.

In some cases, special anti-inflammatory and antibacterial therapy is prescribed. The system of such treatment should be carried out strictly under the supervision and recommendations of a leading physician, since these drugs have a negative effect on the liver. At the same time, you should take vitamin D both in the form of medications and in the form of sunbathing.

To determine the cause of the development of psoriasis as a result of insufficient liver functionality, a comprehensive examination and further treatment are recommended. In this case, various medications (including enterosorbents) may be prescribed. In addition, traditional medicine recipes are actively used for liver treatment, since some medications have a lot of contraindications and side effects.

In the process of liver detoxification, hepatoprotectors and choleretic drugs are used, which help normalize metabolic processes, enhance the regenerative ability of cells and have an antioxidant effect.

The group of hepatoprotectors includes the following drugs:

  • Galstena;
  • Gepabene;
  • Darsil;
  • Karsil;
  • Hepacept, etc.

Psoriasis and liver

These drugs contain components of plant origin (turmeric, milk thistle, artichoke, soybean, fume), which provides them with an advantage over other drugs.

SORBIT. Cleansing with this drug is, in fact, a traditional tubage (washing the liver, gall bladder, kidneys and bile duct with a drug). This method of treatment is the safest and most gentle, but requires preliminary preparation.

To do this, 7 days before tubage, it is recommended to follow a special diet that excludes fried, smoked, spicy, fatty and highly allergenic foods. It is preferable to use boiled and vegetarian dishes. In addition, you should definitely take apples and their juice, as this fruit activates the flow of bile.

Before starting the cleansing procedure (in the morning), you should do a cleansing enema. It is better to carry out the tubage itself in the evening, having previously prepared a medicinal composition of 2 tbsp. l. sorbitol and 100 ml. water. In addition to the solution with sorbitol, a decoction of choleretic herbs is simultaneously prepared (2 tablespoons of corn silk, 1 tablespoon of dry chamomile and 400 ml of hot water), which is infused for at least 30 minutes and filtered.

The procedure itself is performed as follows: the patient lies on the right side, placing a heating pad in the hypochondrium and, in small doses, alternately drinks a solution of sorbitol and choleretic agents.

The body's response to sorbitol during the development of psoriasis appears 2 hours after the start of the procedure. Tubage is recommended to be performed regularly (up to 6 times within 1 year).

SODIUM THIOSULPHATE. Sodium thiosulfate has anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects on the liver. Quite often, such a cleansing procedure can completely restore the functionality of the liver. The course of treatment lasts no more than 10 days. When performing the procedure, an injection solution (30%) is used.

Every day, open an ampoule with a medicinal solution and dilute it in 0.5 cup. water and drinks. The drug is activated closer to the morning, and the actual cleaning itself lasts no more than 1.5 - 2 hours. Just as when using Sorbitol, it is necessary to follow a diet with plenty of liquid and a high vitamin content (decoction of rose hips, apples, etc.).

MAGNESIA. This medicine has a choleretic effect. Preparation for cleansing is exactly the same as for treatment with Sorbitol with the only difference: in addition to following a diet, it is necessary to take large amounts of alkaline liquids (Borjomi, etc.). It is important to consider that magnesium can cause exacerbation of chronic gastrointestinal diseases.

Before starting the procedure, the patient should lie down, placing a heating pad in the area of the right hypochondrium for 2 hours, then take the prepared solution, after stirring 3 tbsp. l. drug in 1 cup. warm water. The prepared medicine should be divided into 2 doses within 30 minutes, after which you need to keep the heating pad in the hypochondrium for another 60 minutes.

DIET. More effective cleansing of the liver during the development of psoriasis is observed when following a diet excluding citrus fruits, fried, fatty, pickled, spicy and sweet foods. It is recommended to consume unlimited amounts of fruits and vegetables with sufficient amounts of vitamins, especially vitamin K and C.

A gentle method of preparing dishes is recommended (steamed, without adding oils); in addition, it is necessary to include seafood in the diet and exclude sausages, semi-finished products and products with added preservatives and flavorings.

In addition, the diet requires adherence to a drinking regime (at least 2.5-3 liters per day), which allows for better cleansing, since the liquid flushes out toxins from the liver. The liquid should be drunk 20 minutes before eating, and also 20 minutes before going to bed at night. Liver cleansing can be carried out with various herbal decoctions, which are prescribed by a doctor.

With the right lifestyle, getting the required concentration of vitamins and fiber into the body, as well as following a daily routine and giving up bad habits such as alcohol and smoking, you can quickly get rid of a disease such as psoriasis.

Without these measures, treatment of psoriasis will not be complete, and relapses will occur much more often. In addition, an important condition for the full treatment of the disease and the removal of toxins from the body is constant monitoring by the attending physician.

Advice! For the treatment of psoriasis caused by liver dysfunction, the main element of therapy is diet.

In addition, fatty liver degeneration very often develops with psoriasis. The main dietary restriction should be avoidance of alcohol, fatty, salty, fried foods and foods containing fast carbohydrates (honey, sugar, jam).

Treatment of psoriasis caused by disorders of the normal functioning of the liver is very long-term. In addition to following a strict diet, special ointments and creams are prescribed for external use.

Steroid medications are sometimes prescribed to clear up psoriatic plaques.

To quickly eliminate psoriatic plaques, steroid drugs are sometimes even used. It is possible that additional vitamin D intake and photoprocedures—exposure to UV rays on the skin—will have a positive therapeutic effect. It is mandatory to prescribe preparations of B vitamins, Essentiale Forte, to support the liver.

There is a close connection between the condition of a person’s skin and his internal organs, especially the liver. And this cannot be neglected. The use of external agents alone to treat the skin is not enough. Only by understanding that peeling skin, rashes and psoriatic manifestations are the result of internal disorders can one cope with the disease.

The effectiveness of the drugs is to expand the intrahepatic and choleretic channels and stimulate the removal of stones. Improving the liver and gallbladder normalizes metabolism. With psoriasis, it is impossible to completely eliminate metabolic failure, but a maintenance course of medications gives positive dynamics in recovery.

Treatment at home

There is a close relationship between the condition of the skin and the condition of the internal organs. Therefore, liver cleansing for psoriasis at home is often used for treatment. Cleaning can be carried out using medicinal pharmaceutical products. According to reviews, the best results are given by:

  • sodium thiosulfate;
  • sorbitol;
  • magnesia.

Attention! It is recommended to take hepatoprotectors along with a diet and at least 2 times a year.

Drug effects

As prescribed by your doctor, you should buy hepatoprotectors and carefully study the instructions. Each medicine has its own characteristics, they must be taken into account in order for the therapy to be beneficial. Standard prescriptions for psoriasis by hepatologists include:

  1. Ursosan. One of the most powerful hepatoprotectors, the effectiveness of which has been repeatedly proven in large clinical studies. Ursosan can be used at home if the possibility of liver failure is excluded.
  2. Heptor. It is used for various toxic organ lesions, including cirrhosis. Patients with psoriasis give positive reviews about this medicine.
  3. Eslidin. The drug has a pronounced hepatoprotective effect and perfectly normalizes carbohydrate, fat and protein balance. It helps reduce fat deposits and is included in the list of drugs for complex therapy. Drinking Eslidin is prohibited for children under 7 years of age and pregnant women, this is what distinguishes it from many other hepatoprotectors.
  4. Phosphogliv (Phosphonliv forte). For psoriasis, it reduces the load on the liver and promotes rapid restoration of the organ’s functionality. Stabilizes cell membranes and prevents the development of cirrhosis. Reduces the activity of pathogenic microflora, protects against alcoholic hepatitis.

All the drugs presented have different active ingredients, so you should consult your doctor before taking them.

Psoriasis and liver

Hepatoprotectors are excellent for cleaning the liver for psoriasis. These medications promote the rapid restoration of damaged liver cells and tissues, as well as the removal of toxic substances from the blood. The following hepatoprotectors have the best properties in this regard:

  • Osalmid. The drug is a choleretic drug that normalizes the level of bilirubin in the body. In addition, the product helps the liver recover after prolonged damaging effects, and also relieves pain.
  • Karsil. The product restores liver function in the shortest possible time and also accelerates the process of tissue regeneration.
  • Galstena. Despite the fact that the medicine is classified as a homeopathic medicine, in practice it shows excellent results in the process of restoring the high-quality outflow of bile, as well as relieving inflammation in the liver. An additional property of the drug is to prevent the formation of gallstones.
  • Gepabene. The drug is based on natural ingredients. It is often used in the treatment of liver diseases, as well as during the recovery period. The medication is also suitable for cleansing the liver for psoriasis.
  • Ovesol. The medication is also produced on the basis of natural ingredients and helps reduce inflammatory processes and cleanses the bile ducts.
  • Hofitol. The drug based on artichoke extract has a choleretic effect and is a diuretic.
  • Rezalut Pro. A complex drug that promotes rapid regeneration, normalizes fat metabolism and cholesterol levels.

It is not recommended to use these products at home. Hepatoprotectors must be prescribed by the attending physician.

Medicinal herbs such as chamomile, tansy and rose hips can be used to cleanse the liver for psoriasis without a doctor’s prescription at home in the absence of contraindications. Herbs can be combined into a collection or taken separately. They should be brewed as follows: a tablespoon of raw material is enough for a glass of boiling water; the medicine should be infused for fifteen minutes.

It is recommended to take the infusion one to three times a day daily until the symptoms of the lesion are alleviated.

In order for the liver to return to its previous functionality, and the blood and ducts to be cleansed without the use of drugs, it is enough to create the correct detoxification diet. To do this, the following types of food products should be excluded from the daily menu:

  • Fast food and semi-finished products;
  • Fried foods;
  • Products with a high fat content (including vegetable fat);
  • Citrus;
  • Pickles and marinades (vegetable, meat and fish);
  • High carbohydrate foods (sweets, confectionery, baked goods);
  • Fatty meat and fish products.

The diet must be supplemented with food enriched with vitamins C and K. It should be based on low-fat fermented milk products, low-fat fish, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Food should be cooked using steam or water, the amount of oil should be minimal. John Pegano is a practicing doctor who has developed a method of cleansing the body without drugs. This diet is an important component of the fight against psoriasis in the period between exacerbations.

Blood cleansing for psoriasis using the Pegano method involves eating foods that help remove harmful substances from the intestines. The main part of the diet consists of water, vegetables, and fruits. You also need to eat:

  • fish (stewed or steamed);
  • grains (buckwheat, brown rice, corn, rye, barley, etc.);
  • lean poultry meat;
  • lamb (2 times a week);
  • low-fat milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, kefir, cheese;
  • vegetable oil (1 teaspoon daily).

If you decide to try such a diet, also drink herbal teas, juices from vegetables and fruits - they help remove harmful substances from the body and help in treating the disease.

During the Pegano cleansing diet, it is strictly forbidden to eat:

  • salty, fatty, spicy foods - you will get less nutrients, because... their absorption in the intestine is impaired;
  • products rich in essential oils (spices, citrus zest) - they irritate the skin and increase itching, i.e. aggravate the disease more;
  • nuts in any form - they contain histamine, which is a biologically active substance, and in patients with psoriasis it causes allergic reactions;
  • fatty meat - the inflammatory process is “triggered” by arachidic acid, which is contained in such products;
  • alcohol - when consumed, the liver suffers, and therefore the process of removing harmful substances from the body worsens;
  • blue cheese - in their production a special type of fungus Penizillium is used, which provokes an exacerbation of the disease.

Liver tablets for psoriasis

Just a few tablets of a high-quality enzyme - and the pancreas calmly survives a meal replete with fats.

Hepatoprotectors are liver tablets that help the liver cope with intoxication due to psoriasis, as well as other associated liver diseases.

Ademetionine (“Heptral”) for psoriasis The drug acts in three directions: it covers the membranes of liver cells, “patch up holes” and improves metabolism within cells. Ademetionine is necessary for chronic hepatitis resulting in cirrhosis, that is, with complete wear and tear of the organ. Restoration of liver cells has an invigorating effect.

  • Has antidepressant activity.
  • It has choleretic and cholekinetic effects.
  • Has detoxifying, regenerating, antioxidant,
  • antifibrosing and neuroprotective properties.
  • Replenishes ademetionine deficiency

Application of sorbitol

Psoriasis and liver

Sorbitol is a natural sweetener - a sugar substitute, often used for dietary nutrition, including for diabetes. In addition, sorbitol has a mild laxative effect and cleanses the intestines and liver. In order to carry out the cleansing procedure with its use, it is necessary to go through the preparation stage: eat low-protein foods for a week, and also avoid heavy physical activity.

Cleansing the liver with sorbitol is carried out in several stages:

  1. Dissolve two tablespoons of the composition in a glass of warm water. To stir thoroughly.
  2. Lie on the bed on your right side and apply a heating pad with hot water to it.
  3. Without changing position, slowly take the resulting drink in small sips.
